ORIGIN: Ngbandi [Democratic Republic of Congo, central Africa]
INFORMATION: One of seven deities invoked at daybreak. He controls both good luck and ill-fortune. According to tradition he has seven children; Morning, noon, evening, night, sun, moon and water. He accords to water the priveleges of a firstborn son.
