INFORMATION: One of seven deities in Shintoism concerned with fortune. He is allegedly a chinese hermit who lived during the Sung dynasty and whose name means happiness, wealth, and longevity. He is depicted as a little old man, bald and with a prominent high forehead. He carries a book of sacred teachings tied to his staff. Other occasional attributes include a crane, deer or tortoise.
