INFORMATION: Identified as the apotheosis of the actual scarecrow made by Japanese farmers and known as a Kakashi. Traditionally it is constructed from reeds and wears a round peasant hat. According to the sacred texts, "Though his legs do not walk he knows everything under heaven".
