INFORMATION: The title by which the "Jade Emperor", the most senior deity in the Taoist pantheon, is commonly known. He emerges as a deity circa 1000-1100 CE during the Sung Dynasty. The Chinese emperor is his earthly and more accessible incarnation. See also Yu Huang Shang Ti.
