The Lantern Festival

This holiday takes place ont he last full moon before the New Year. The festival involves the hanging of colorful lanterns in every conceivable space. In the distant past this was an act of sympathetic magick intended to lure the waning sun back to the earth, much as Imbolg is celebrated in modern Wicca.
