Abalone

This Shell is also known as Ear Shell. It is found in warm tropical waters off the coasts of California, South America, Japan and China. This shell is commonly used for decorative purposes in jewelry. Some American Indians use the shell to hold spirit offerings such as tobacco and blue corn. It also makes a great holder for burning sage, sweetgrass, and cedar. Abalone may be helpful to build and protect the heart muscle as well as an aid in digestion.
