Once used to: kindle eternal flame, make garments that could not be burned.

Magical/Ritual Lore:	In the past it was considered to be a magical element because it would burn continuously without being consumed. It was used in the temples in Greese as wicks for the perpetual fires.
Magical Uses:	Worn for protection against negative magicks and the evil eye. Asbestos is no longer recommended for magickal use due to it's carcinogenic nature.
