Augite

Augite is a glassy crystal ranging in color from purple and brown to black with gray-green streaks. Its name is derived from the greek word augites which means "brightness," an allusion to the relatively high luster seen on some exceptional specimens.

This crystal may be used to understand and accept life’s changes. Purple augite is particularly helpful in providing guidance for spiritual growth, and brown augite is useful in clearing out muddying emotions or thoughts. The black streaked stone has been used to stabilize painful transitions while allowing the user to remain grounded and centered in reality.
