Flame agate is also known as Mexican Flame Agate, Graveyard Plume Agate and Carey Plume Agate.

When the agate is sliced, there is an appearance of flames which seem to spring from the base of the slice.

The Mexican Flame Agate and Carey Plume Agate flames are usually comprised of a red jasper intrusion. The Graveyard Plume Agate flames are white.

This mineral is a "prodder", providing stimulus for one to seek the light and hope of the eternal. It renews the passion and enhances physical vitality.

It also stimulates attentiveness and diligence.

The Graveyard Plume, in addition, stimulates the crown chakra and both strengthens and initiates the movement of the Kundalini. It further helps, during states of transition, to enhance understanding.
