White stones were used as purifiers and to remove poisons. Their magickal purpose is to aid in gaining affinity with the higher self and the soul or etheric body. White contains all the colors of the rainbow and it enhances the full spectrum of energies in body/mind/spirit. Associated with abundance, innocence, purity, faithfulness. A Master healer. Stimulates brain functions. Amplifies thought forms. This full spectrum energy activates all levels of consciousness and dispels negativity in one's energy field and in environment. It receives, activates, stores, transmits and amplifies energy. Excellent for meditation and magickal work. It has been loosely associated with the Moon.

Ivory may be white, cream, pink, and yellow. Though not typically an organic material rather than a real stone, it can be found fossilized. “Vegetable Ivory” is considered a suitable substitute if you must use ivory. This is the hard white tagua nut or Corozo nut of the South American ivory palm (Phytelephas macrocarpa) or from the kernels of the African Doum palm (Hyphaene thebaica).

Ivory represents purity. It is said to help one become more analytical and assists in achieving a meditative state. Restlessness, anxiety, moodiness, and derision are dispelled while ivory stimulates initiative, dignity, and serenity. By virtue of its nature, it can bring its user more in tune with animals and nature.

Through sympathetic imagery, it is obvious that ivory will have a beneficial effect on bones, joints, and the teeth. It is also thought to help the skin and circulatory system. Tagua nuts have also been named “headache stones.”

Ivory primarily comes from elephant tusks, however, due to the diminishing number of elephants and other tusk bearing animals such walruses, as well as ivory boned animals such as whales obtaining a piece of actual ivory and not synthetic ivory is a bit difficult. This rare highly prized bone has long been a favorite for jewelry and talismanic adornments. One should never aquire this bone for aesthetic purposes. Use it only if it has great spiritual significance for you; otherwise forget it. It is a very sacred bone and should always be revered as same.

It is good for arthritic conditions and all ailments of the bones and teeth.

Can be used by athletes to increase physical stamina.
