Olivine

Olivine, which is also known as Peridot, Chrysolite, and Evening Emerald, is a Magnesium Iron Silicate that is actually made up of two distinct minerals. These are Fayalite (FE2SiO4) and Forsterite (Mg2SiO4); however, they are so similar that distinguishing between them is very difficult. Olivine is usually found in a granular, crystalline, or massive form, often in association with a variety of other minerals — these may include augite, chromite, diopside, feldspar, hornblende, serpentine, and spinel. There are many places where olivine is extracted, all around the world. It is also found in many iron meteorites. It has a vitreous luster and a white streak.
