Wulfenite




Wulfenite is a stone of lead molybdate and is sometimes called the butterscotch stone as it often looks simular to this candy. It is found in colours ranging from light brown to red and everything in between. This stone got it's name from a mineralogist named Franz Xavier von Wulfen. This stone is very heavy. It is prized by collectors for its colours and shapes. This stone is too soft to be used in jewellery.
