The Two of Swords is one of the cards of the Minor Arcana. Depicted on this card is a blindfolded woman sitting on a bench, with her back toward the sea, two swords are balanced carefully against her shoulders, while a waning crescent moon hangs over her in the background. The symbolism on this card indicates to me a few different things. Sitting on the bench with back toward sea gives me the impression of being closed minded or emotionally aloof and unavailable. The moon in the waning also demonstrates lack of emotion. The two crossed swords carefully balanced however is an indicator of duplicity. The blindfold is showing me indecisiveness, or blindness to truth but self enforced. When this card comes into the spread I see it as representing a self indulgent aloof person with a dualistic nature. So I basically ask the querant if they are being a bit unavailable emotionally, or are surpressing themselves outta fear of the truth. This is also and indicator of a person whom manipulates the feelings of others, or whom is taciturn with their words and whom is blind to the feelings of others.
Many Swords may indicate a series of tremendous activity and agitation, or that things may be beginning to progress at a very rapid pace..This is the last stage of effort before results are reached.
There is a myriad of symbolisms on this and many of the other cards in both the major and minor arcana. In order to present a comprehensive and easy to use as a reference source set of pages for this and other cards, I will refrain from going into great detail regarding the individual symbols on the cards. On a future date I will go over the more explicit aspects of them. If you have a question regarding a particular symbol you can email me at Tamerin. I would also like to hear from you on some of your interpretations of this particular card or any other that you would like to discuss. Please use above email link.
