Four of Swords

The Four of Swords is one of the cards of the Minor Arcana. Depicted on this card is a effigy of a knight lying on a sarcophagus with his hands in prayer. Three swords hang on the wall and one decorates the sarcophagus. This is a card of repose and not a death card. When the four of swords comes into your spread it's an indication of a time to rest to take some time for reflection. When ever I see this card enter a spread I normally tell the person it's time to stop acting on the situation and instead take time to consider all aspects of the situation.
