QuadrantsThe zodiac where is divided into four quadrants by the intersection of the horizon (vertical) lines and meridian (horizontal) lines. The first quadrant contains houses 12, 11 and 10; the second quadrant contains houses 9, 8, and 7; the third quadrant contains houses 6, 5, and 4; the fourth quadrant contains houses 3, 2, and 1.

QuadruplicityQualities of the zodiac signs defined as cardinal, mutable, or fixed. Also pertains to the natural house qualities. Also known as modes and qualities. See Cardinal Signs and Houses; Fixed Signs and Houses; Mutable Signs and Houses.

Quatro-Square Aspecta 22.5° aspect determined by dividing 360° by sixteen. A minor aspect based on the sixteenth harmonic. Also see Harmonics.
QuerentInquirer. The person who asks a question in horary astrology. The subject of a natal chart.
QuesitedWhat one queries about. The person or matter asked about in horary astrology.
Quincunx AspectAn arc of 150°. This aspect is also known as the inconjunct. It creates uneasiness and a feeling of discomfort. The 150 is not derived from the division of 360 by a whole number, so is therefore considered an inharmonious aspect (see Harmonics). However, it represents a difference between planets of exactly five star signs. It is a minor aspect.
Quintile AspectAn aspect of 72°. It is an easy minor aspect often signifying human endeavor and accomplishments.
A harmonious minor aspect not normally considered in natal charts although, as opposed to the septile, it is a whole number of degrees.
