Vernal Equinox—The equinox before spring.
Vernal Point—The beginning of the northern hemisphere summer, when on 21 March, the sun is over the horizon and moving north into the northern hemisphere. The Sun during the vernal point is always 0° Aries. However, the actual constellation occupied by the Sun is Pisces cusp Aquarius. See also Precession.
Vespertine Planet—See Occidental Planet.
Void of Course—Describes a planet that does not make a major aspect before changing signs. It is used primarily with respect to the Moon.
